COVID-19 Directives

Dear Members of Centennial,

There really are a few ways to look at this situation. We can say, “Woe is me!” Or, we can try to embrace it and find unique ways to continue ministry. I want to embrace it with unique ways. That is what this letter is all about. It seems like everything changes from day to day, but this is the most up to date info I can offer you (at this time). Originally, I was going to take this coming week as a vacation. Since we can’t go anywhere and since I feel it would be best to be here with you, we are not doing that.

PLEASE DO NOTE – IF YOU ARE SICK, PLEASE STAY HOME NO MATTER WHAT. THE OFFERING ETC CAN WAIT.
PLEASE STAY HOME IF YOU ARE FEELING ANY SYMPTOMS.

Worship:
  • We will continue doing the live stream
  • You can either go to our website www.centennialwels.org/stream or go to Facebook Live
  • 10:00 AM is the service, but it can be watched from our website anytime.
  • I will be available each Sunday after worship from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM if you want to come by to drop off offerings and pick up the sermon manuscripts.
  • THE ONLY DOOR WHICH WILL BE OPEN WILL BE THE CIRCLE DRIVE DOOR. PLEASE DRIVE THROUGH THAT WAY AND ENTER THAT DOOR. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO TOUCH THE DOOR. IN FACT, PLEASE TRY TO NOT TOUCH ANY SURFACE AS YOU ARE IN THE BUILDING.

Communion:
  • First choice would be for all members to come during Sunday visitation time (11:00-2:00 PM) to receive personal/individual communion
  • A person will be there to open the church doors for you. Then walk down the center aisle and grab an individual cup. The wafer will be given to you by pastor, who will be using hand sanitizer throughout this process. Finally, drop your individual cup into the receptacle and walk back down the aisle and exit to your car.
  • If you are unable to take communion that way, let me know. I can come to your home and give you private communion.

Offerings:
  • Even if we are not meeting “together” in person, God still asks for the willing heart to give back to him.
  • Several ways you can give:
  • Online, website.  www.centennialwels.org/give
  • Mail it in
  • Bring it by. I will be available after each service until 2 PM at church
  • I prefer either online or bringing it to church
  • If you bring it to church, this will operate much the same as communion.
  • Come into church and try to not touch anything
  • The doors will be open so you don’t need to touch them
  • Walk down the center aisle and place your offering in the basket at the front
  • If you would like a few moments to pause and reflect, feel free to do that.

Devotions:
  • My goal is to give you an opportunity to be in God’s word with me
  • I want to attempt to bring you a new VLOG every day we are apart.
  • Please follow us on Facebook or
  • Subscribe on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCeTc5D9kVzfF4lSu3qc0EQ

Office Hours:
  • This is different from the visitation hours on Sunday mornings
  • Most of the time I will be working from home
  • If you would like to visit with me, consider calling on the phone
  • If you would like to meet in person, let me know and we can schedule a time to meet
  • Contact me with any of the ways below: text, phone call, email

Holy Week:
  • We will be moving Holy Week back a few weeks once the ban is lifted
  • The first Sunday we are together will be Palm Sunday, followed by the Holy Week schedule.
  • We will not have any meals on Good Friday or Easter (LYFE may do a different Sunday for their fund raiser)
  • We will only offer one Good Friday service at 6:30 PM and one Easter service at 10:00 AM

That is all the information I have right now. God continue to bless you and keep you healthy and safe. Feel free to contact me if there are questions or concerns.

One side note, there are many who are in need during this crisis. If you would like to donate to the Almoner’s fund or donate gift cards to Walmart or Pick N Save, those can be dropped off during Sunday morning visitation hours.  Money can also be giving by our online giving system.  www.centennialwels.org/give  Please select the Almoners fund when giving.

God Bless In Christ,
